JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER

This position holds the responsibility of educating and caring for junior high and senior high school students (i.e., grades 6-12). Teachers holding this position are expected to exhibit a proficient understanding of specific subject and content areas, practically able to provide students with meaningful and effective instruction from a Biblical worldview. Teaching a junior high or high school class includes planning, implementing and assessing lessons. It also includes the development and management of a positive and healthy classroom environment, which promotes learning as well as the social, physical, and/or spiritual growth of every student.
Physical Requirements:
- Teaching and interacting with students may include standing for extended periods of time, as well as frequent walking and other movement (i.e. bending, squatting, etc.).
- Normal occupational stress related to working with adolescents and young adults.
- Working indoors primarily; working outdoors during select seasons of the year.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field (preferred)
- Previous experience in education (preferred)
