Mission
Our desire is that all who come to the Heartland community develop a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
cultivating holiness, life-long wholeness, and esteem for our Savior.
Purpose
The Heartland community is a haven of spiritual healing; a place that provides an environment to find God and His plan
and purpose for life; a place to be equipped for His service. As an educational facility HCA strives to consistently
produce and graduate students who are academically, vocationally, and socially prepared to be productive members of
society.
Philosophy
People lacking the fear of God find their life in a cycle of serving selfish desires, making wrong choices and not having
peace of mind and heart. We introduce the concepts of Biblical living, personal responsibility, and accountability. The
Christian life is not abstract theology unconnected with life, but has practical implications that will affect how we choose
to behave each day. It is not enough to merely know the gospel; we must let it transform our lives and let God impact
every aspect of our lives.
A personal relationship with the Lord can only be properly nurtured and fully developed within and among a local body
of believers. No one is called to be a lone Christian. Church life (living corporately on a daily basis) is essential to
growth.
HCA provides students with an opportunity to change. Steps toward change may occur academically, vocationally,
mentally or through social interaction. However, it is our ultimate desire that students mature in the ability to make
moral decisions in life consistent with Biblical principles.
HCA demonstrates a biblical love and we are excited to see God’s purpose fulfilled in each student as we provide
opportunity for them to learn to live a holy and righteous life. We do not tolerate wrongdoing, but will love enough to
stand firm when it is uncomfortable to do so, or when it would “feel” better to ignore a situation rather than deal with
it.
Academic and boarding placement is of divine appointment; it is an opportunity to have a positive environment, loving
support, and practical instruction so that a mature relationship with Jesus Christ can be developed.
